Alert in Buenos Aires: Tourists Victims of 'Black Widows'

In the Palermo neighborhood, City of Buenos Aires, a new case of Black Widows has been reported, causing alarm. Three Uruguayan tourists reported being robbed by two women in an apartment on Arévalo Street at 1300. According to the police report accessed by the Argentine News Agency, the victims met the women in a nightclub in the area and then went to the apartment where the robbery occurred. The complainants reported that after consuming alcoholic beverages, they lost consciousness, and upon waking up, they noticed their belongings were missing.

The National Prosecutor's Office in Criminal and Correctional Matters 38 has intervened in the case and ordered the City Forensic Division to get involved to clarify what happened.

In a similar incident in the Congreso neighborhood, a man died and another lost consciousness after being attacked by two alleged "black widows." The men had reportedly met the women at a jam session during the early hours of a Monday and went to the victim's home, where they consumed alcoholic beverages before losing consciousness. Upon the arrival of an ambulance from SAME, the death of one of the men was confirmed.

An investigation for homicide has been initiated, and the City Police are working on the case to clarify what happened and bring the responsible parties to justice.
